不知不觉，我们对舞蹈这门艺术似乎有了越来越多似是而非的认定或定义。因此，为促进舞蹈工作者与学生对本地舞蹈概况有更深入的理解，并鼓励彼此对话、反思与分享建议，《谈艺坛。舞蹈畅谈会》于是启动作为舞友的一个纯粹交流、分享讯息、互相学习的平台。本次活动将邀请数位舞蹈领域资深工作者领衔发表，参与者可随性针对话题提问、分享意见及参与讨论。盼各位舞友踊跃出席，一同思索舞蹈艺术发展较为理想的方向，来一次彼此缺失已久的舞蹈倾谈。

“The language of the dancers is the movement but not the text”, “Dance cannot be over-analysis”, “Dansce is to express the emotion but not the issue…”

Unwittingly, we seem to have more and more statements and speculations about the art of dance. The Arts Altar: The Dance Talk creates a platform to gather dancers with the aim of creating a deeper understanding for dance practitioners and students towards the local dance situation. It also encourages the communication, re-examination, sharing of ideas about dance that can be inspirational to all. The roundtable will invite local experts in the dance field to express their respective point of views. Participants are welcome to raise questions, share their personal ideas, and even involve in the discussion in response to the specific topics discussed. We are hoping for the active participation from the dancers in joining this roundtable. We believe such discussion among the dance community has been long absent. We hope this forum will help spearhead a better future for the local dance scene.

A new Butoh based dance company founded in 2012, Kuala Lumour Malaysia. Soubi Sha encourages the investigation and exloration of alternative Butoh in Malaysia through staging experimental performances. It aims to create a new Asian Butoh dance form in the future. Soubi Sha encourage the multiracial and mixed disciplinary artists in Malaysia who aspire to explore Butoh by offering the platform for performance, workshops, talks and sharing sessions.
